Line 331, when Odysseus finishes his long speach about the land of the dead, he askes to go to sleep and to join his ”companions”. I tought that, at this point, he had already lost all of them… Am I missing anything?

When I read that passage I thought much the same thing at first. Then I assumed that he meant the companions which the king was going to send him home with and on the ship the king was sending him away on. I’m pretty sure by this point the Phiakians had already promised to send him home, they just promise it again after he tells his stories.
I agree with Kathleen, however, I also found that passage a bit odd as well.
A commentator on the passage confirms Kathleen’s point. It is an oddity, though, isn’t it?
