Search ‘locates’ Homer’s Ithaca

I had found this article last year (I can’t believe I was able to find it again!) and thought it was interesting.  It states that an amateur archaeologist has claimed to have found Ithaca and that the explanation of the region’s current geography is due to subsequent earthquakes that have filled in the channel between Cephalonia and Ithaca.

What do you think? Is it a viable theory? I am slightly hesitant to believe it, but I don’t know how archaeologists/scholars would be able to test it out.  Any ideas?

Thanks Midori!! Brittlestone, ODYSSEUS UNBOUND is the author and name of the book. Our library has it if you’re interested in learning about how he made this discovery.
